Erdogan and Starmer Sign Eurofighter Supply Agreement

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the United Kingdom's Prime Minister Keir Starmer have signed a supply agreement for Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets. The document was signed following intergovernmental negotiations and is viewed as an important step in strengthening strategic ties between Turkey and the UK.

Erdogan emphasized that this agreement opens a new phase in the cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the defense industry. According to him, the agreement will enable the development of joint projects and technological exchanges.

“I see this agreement as a new sign of trust and partnership between two close allies. I am confident that it will bring new opportunities at both military and industrial levels,” Erdogan stated.

Experts believe that the supply of Eurofighter Typhoon jets will enhance Turkey’s aerial capabilities and contribute to deeper cooperation with the UK within NATO.
