Ararat Mirzoyan: The Guarantee of the Stability of Armenian-Azerbaijani Agreements is Their Mutual Benefits

Ararat Mirzoyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, addressed the issue of maintaining Armenian-Azerbaijani agreements, emphasizing that the guarantee in such cases may not be the involvement of a third party but rather the mutual benefit of the agreements reached.

“Usually, a third party's signature or verbal promise has been considered a guarantee, but experience shows that these do not always work. In this case, the main guarantee is precisely the mutual benefit. When both sides are interested in implementing the agreements, they become stable and long-term,” said Mirzoyan.

The minister added that he does not wish to highlight what Armenia has gained, as the aim of the peace process is development based on mutual interests. “If both countries consider the agreements beneficial, they will be motivated to maintain and develop them,” he emphasized.
