Details About the Crime in Davtashen

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has provided details regarding the crime that occurred in Davtashen during the night. On October 25, shortly after midnight, the Operational Management Center of the Police received a report from the Criminal Police Administration of Yerevan stating that a dispute had taken place in the third district of Davtashen. An operational group was dispatched to the scene.

While law enforcement was taking immediate action, the Armenia Medical Center reported that 33-year-old Shmavon Atoyan, who had been admitted with a gunshot wound, had died without regaining consciousness.

Investigators from the Main Criminal Police Administration also joined the scene. A 9 mm caliber bullet was found at the scene. The documents prepared have been sent to the investigative divisions of the Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts. Through measures undertaken by Yerevan's criminal police, it was determined that the crime was committed by a 30-year-old resident of Gevorg Emin Street in the capital. He has been arrested. The circumstances are being clarified, and an investigation is ongoing.
