I Will Pray Where I Want, With Whom I Want: Simonian
I have already stated that I will not participate in the ceremony at Hovhannisavank; I have no such plans. This was announced by the President of the National Assembly Alen Simonian during a press briefing.
“The Prime Minister has stated that he will participate, but it is not always the case that wherever the Prime Minister goes, I will go as well. Do not take this into the political arena. There is nothing about supporting or not supporting. It is each person's choice, their decision. What is there to support or not support?” Simonian said.
“Dear ones, how everyone expresses their faith is not anyone's business. Faith, Christianity, is not a monopoly of anyone, nor is the church. I will pray where I want, with whom I want; it is not necessary for someone to be in between my conversation with God, whether they wear a robe, have businesses, or connections in different places,” he added.
