Putin Responds to EU Sanctions on Toilets
Mariam Z.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has joked about the EU sanctions on toilets, saying that they will be costly for the EU itself. "The cancellation of our toilet purchases will be expensive for them. In fact, I believe they would be useful in the current situation," the head of state told reporters.
It’s worth reminding that the EU has banned the export of toilets, bidets, and drainage tanks to Russia. The EU announced that the 19th package of sanctions includes additional restrictions on the export of goods that Russia could use in the military sector, such as salt, sulfur, graphite, metallic ores, rubber products, and ceramic materials.
