I Have Been Interrogated in This Case and All Data Has Been Transmitted: Avinyan on the ANIF Case

During a press conference that lasted three hours, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan stated, "I have released financial figures. There has been no comment from any representatives of civil society, including investigative journalists, regarding these numbers. There is zero engagement with the figures I have raised, through which I have made specific claims, posed questions, and put those entire theses into question.” Avinyan made these remarks while discussing the ANIF case.

He added, “There is reference to peripheral matters, say, regarding a woman's friend… they weren’t acquainted seven months ago, it was one year and three months ago… it’s unserious.” He emphasized that he has been interrogated in this case and has transmitted all the data.

“I want all of us to respect our work. I want any media outlet that packages itself as investigative to genuinely engage in investigation,” stated the Mayor of Yerevan.
