EU Bans Import of Motorized Toys to Russia

The European Union (EU) has banned the export of plastic toys and motorized model vehicles to Russia as part of its 19th package of sanctions. This was reported by TASS, citing a decision from the EU Council.

The European sanctions also apply to toys that are not made of plastic but contain motors. According to the documents, these toys are classified under the same customs code, including tricycles, scooters, toy cars, doll strollers, dolls, and other toys, as well as all types of miniature models and puzzles.

It is noteworthy that the EU today officially confirmed a new package of sanctions against Russia. The new restrictions concern tankers carrying Russian oil under more than 100 foreign flags. The new package also includes a ban on purchasing Russian liquefied natural gas and restrictions on the movement of Russian diplomats. Additionally, restrictions apply to transactions involving five Russian banks.

Earlier, the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury announced a tightening of sanctions against Russia.
