Iran Will Not Resume Nuclear Talks with the U.S. – Araqchi
Iran will not resume negotiations with the United States regarding the resolution of the crisis over its nuclear program as long as Washington does not abandon its inflated demands, stated Abbas Araqchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic.
On October 20, Esmail Baqaei, a representative from the Iranian Foreign Ministry, announced that Tehran continues to exchange messages with Washington through intermediaries, but it is premature to call these discussions negotiations.
On September 23, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei stated that negotiations with the U.S. do not serve the national interests of the Islamic Republic, as the talks desired and discussed by the U.S. are “dictation rather than dialogue.”
