Secretary of the "Honorary Title" faction Tigran Abrahamyan has written on Facebook: "I firmly state that the Armed Forces of Armenia face a challenge not of reduction, but of replenishment, and this should be for the purpose of ensuring the country's defense, not for starting a war.

If there is even a conviction that there will be no war in the next five years, even in that case, reducing mandatory military service will harm the country's defense capabilities. The government is sacrificing national security for the sake of extending its own power.

This type and quality of government, which has repeatedly put national interests on the bargaining table, continues its political line by subordinating the country’s priorities.”
