EU to Coordinate 12-Point Peace Plan for Ukraine
European representatives are planning to coordinate their 12-point peace plan for Ukraine in Washington. They may travel to the United States in the coming days, Bloomberg reports.
"The details of the plan are being finalized and may change," officials said, requesting anonymity as the discussions have been confidential. Any proposal will also need to be approved by Washington, and European officials may travel to the United States this week," the publication stated.
European countries and Ukraine are preparing a 12-point plan aimed at halting military operations. The implementation of the plan will be overseen by the International Peace Council operating under the presidency of Donald Trump.
The main provisions of the document include a ceasefire, a commitment from both parties to halt territorial assaults, the return of all "deported children" to Ukraine, a complete exchange of prisoners, security guarantees for Ukraine, reconstruction funding, and an expedited path for Ukraine's accession to the EU.
Earlier reports indicated that Trump has pressured Zelensky to force Ukraine to relinquish Donbas.
