Zelensky and European Leaders Make Call for Ceasefire

European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky have issued a joint statement calling for the cessation of military operations along the current contact line in Ukraine. The announcement was disseminated by the UK government and signed by the leaders of Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy, Poland, Norway, Finland, Denmark, the European Commission, and the European Council.

The parties expressed support for the position of US President Donald Trump, stating that the war must be stopped immediately, and that the issue of the current contact line should become the starting point for negotiations.

"International borders should not be changed by force," the statement read.
