This is a Political Vendetta Seasoned with Legal Sauce: Elinar Vardanyan

About a month ago, a direct "instruction" was issued from the podium of the National Assembly to carry out a prosecution against the elected community leader of Gyumri. Today, the instruction was realized. This was reported on the Facebook page of National Assembly member Elinar Vardanyan.

“And so began the parade of accusatory verdicts from the ruling party. Since only the ruling party can decide who is just and who is guilty, and since they already know that Khukasyan will be imprisoned, they are warning people: ‘let's see who will call this corrupt scoundrel a political prisoner.’ But it’s clear that the directive from Pashinyan and the demonstrative nature of the actions being carried out in the Gyumri City Hall, along with the systematic attack by the ruling party, indicate that this is a political vendetta seasoned with a legal sauce. Just as it has happened in other communities where the ruling party has lost,” she wrote.

“Under the name of judicial shows, the repressions continue and will continue. The bastion of repressions is Armenia,” she added.
