Dojd Channel Confuses Photo of Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan with Another Person

Today, the Dojd television channel addressed the events in Gyumri in one of its reports; however, instead of using a photograph of Gyumri's Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan, a picture of another individual similarly named Vardan Ghukasyan, known by the nickname DOK and currently imprisoned in the United States, was mistakenly used. His associates have reached out to the media outlet, requesting that corrections be made as soon as possible.

In their statement, they said, "We kindly ask that you make the necessary corrections as soon as possible, either by removing or replacing the photograph used in the publication, or by adding an explanatory note (notification) indicating that there was confusion in the material, and the person depicted has no connection to the content of the report. We are confident that your news channel, being a responsible and reputable source, will adhere to the principles of journalistic ethics and take the necessary steps to rectify the situation."
