Zelensky Left the White House Empty-Handed
After talks with U.S. President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky left the White House empty-handed. This was reported by the Financial Times.
According to the publication, he was unable to reach an agreement regarding the coveted Tomahawk missiles from the U.S. President. After the negotiations, the Ukrainian President told reporters that the issue of Tomahawks is not 'off the table' and confirmed his proposal to Trump to exchange missiles for drones supplied by Ukraine.
Furthermore, Trump's remarks that 'we have a lot of Tomahawks, but we need them' sparked critical reactions in the U.S. In this regard, congressional representatives reminded the President that in 2024, an agreement has been signed to supply 400 Tomahawks to Japan, and a year ago, U.S. authorities agreed to sell 220 Tomahawks to Australia.
