Vens Responds to Hegseth's Tie Resembling the Russian Flag
The U.S. Vice President J.D. Vens has responded to reports that Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth attended a meeting with President Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky wearing a tie in the colors of the Russian tricolor.
The white, blue, and red colors are also present on the U.S. flag, where they are considered national colors. However, the peculiarity of the situation was that the colors on Hegseth's tie, which was positioned in front of Zelensky, were arranged in the same order as on the Russian flag—white on top, then blue, and finally red. Beneath these, there was another identical combination of the three colors.
“Or maybe he was wearing America's colors,” Vens wrote on the social media platform X, responding to a user's post claiming that Hegseth's tie corresponds to the colors of the Russian tricolor.
