Alen Simonian on His Statement About 'Armenian Forces in Azerbaijani Territory'
One of the respected media outlets I follow, Civilnet, has conducted a thorough investigation trying to track down one of my statements. The article is titled 'Armenian Forces in Azerbaijani Territory: Following Alen Simonian's Controversial Statement.'
I thank you for this work; HOWEVER, dear colleagues, such mathematics cannot exist, and the expression of it on the ground cannot be specifically measured or calculated for both sides at this stage. That is why a bilateral commission has been established, and the delimitation and demarcation process is ongoing. This is also the reason for my statement, which I made with the conditional phrase 'LET US SUPPOSE.'
I quote my words: '...let’s say they have 210 square kilometers, we, let’s say, have 110 square kilometers...' Therefore, I propose and ask you not to waste time on the ASSUMPTIONS you were making in this case.
There is a fact that there are places where we are ahead and places where they are. Instead, I again urge you to reflect on your previously circulated problematic publication regarding my alleged connection to road construction, which has led to large 'tenders' being won, later resulting in many legal disputes.
I am confident that you, as an impartial media, will address this soon, considering that I personally came to your editorial office almost six months ago and afterward sent you a large package, from which it is evident that I have no connection to the business attributed to me by you. Your publication is more than problematic and evidently requires clarification and editing.
