20 Million Dram Bail and House Arrest for the Rector and Pro-Rector of the Armenian State Pedagogical University

As reported, the rector and pro-rector of Khachatur Abovian Armenian State Pedagogical University were arrested as part of a criminal investigation conducted by the Anti-Corruption Committee.

Earlier, the Anti-Corruption Committee announced that the rector has been placed under house arrest and a bail of 20 million dram. The pro-rector has been subjected to an alternative measure, considering that he has provided a confession.

They are charged with creating and leading a criminal organization composed of various university employees, conducting embezzlement and fraud on a particularly large scale, as well as receiving bribes.
