Zelensky Won't Negotiate on Russian or Belarusian Territory
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is prepared to negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin anywhere in the world, but not on the territory of Russia or Belarus. This was announced by Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian president's office, in an interview with Axios.
According to him, Zelensky informed U.S. President Donald Trump of this during their last phone conversation. On October 17, the Presidents of the U.S. and Ukraine held a private meeting in Washington. Prior to that, Trump spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The White House has also expressed hope that Ukrainian President Zelensky will be able to attend the meeting between Trump and Putin in Budapest.
