Nikol is Not a Focusnik: A Few Speeches Will Not Bring 'Spring': Armen Ashotyan

Today, I spoke at the EPP political congress as a person who has not cut his voice after more than two years under the grip of Nikol's criminal gang, who cannot be at peace when nearly 40 people in his country are deprived of their freedom for their political views.

"My main message was about the Armenians unlawfully held in prisons in Armenia and Azerbaijan. It was about the disgraceful situation in our country, the double silence of European institutions, and our people held hostage in Azerbaijan. It was about the importance of not losing the moral principles in geopolitics.

Nikol is not a focusnik, but a cheap swindler. That is the stark difference between a magician and a sleight-of-hand performer. A few speeches will not bring 'spring,' of course. But with daily work, we are obliged to press and poke everyone who can and must influence and, without averting our gaze, respond honestly.

Otherwise, I assert that the real Europe is me and hundreds of thousands of my compatriots who know the value of freedom, dignity, struggle, and humanity," Ashotyan wrote.
