Zelensky Arrives in the USA for Meeting with Trump
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in the United States for negotiations with U.S. President Donald Trump. The leaders of the two nations are scheduled to meet tomorrow.
According to Bloomberg, Zelensky has prepared a list of promises for the U.S. president to secure the supply of new American weapons. It is expected that Kyiv will offer the U.S. supplies of weapons and energy in exchange for Ukrainian drone technology.
Before this meeting, Trump spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Russian leader congratulated the U.S. president on the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza and thanked Melania Trump for her efforts in returning Russian and Ukrainian children to their homeland.
Both sides also discussed the prospects of Russian-American trade relations following the conclusion of the Ukrainian conflict. Furthermore, Trump announced new negotiations between Russian and American delegations and mentioned that he would meet with Putin in Hungary.
Earlier, the Kremlin responded to whether Trump would give Ukraine the Tomahawk missile system following his conversation with Putin.
