Srbouhi Galyan’s Declarations Revealed
The newspaper "Zhoghvorud" reports that after intense competition last year, the Political Council of the "Civil Contract" party decided to nominate Srbouhi Galyan for the position of Armenian Minister of Justice. Prior to this, she served as the Deputy Coordinator for functions related to the confiscation of property of illegal origin at the Armenian Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the declarations for the year 2024, Galyan owned four real estate properties at the beginning of the year: two land plots, one private house, and one apartment in an apartment building that was received as a gift. She did not declare any vehicles.
Galyan's bank deposits amounted to 4 million 312 thousand drams, her bank accounts held nearly 550 thousand drams, and her cash assets totaled 2 million 700 thousand drams and 5 thousand dollars.
As Justice Minister, Galyan's annual income was reported at 66 million 922 thousand drams, of which 33 million 86 thousand drams were classified as "received loans" from Ameriabank. Her remuneration from the Ministry amounted to 3 million 152 thousand drams, while her income from the Prosecutor's Office was 25 million 74 thousand drams.
Furthermore, 1 million 6 thousand drams were received as a salary from the Justice Academy, and she reported 1 million drams as "other income" from Petros Mukryan. The salary from Yerevan State University amounted to 390,000 drams.
Additionally, 2 million 497 thousand drams came from a tax refund from the RA State Revenue Committee, and 716 thousand drams were categorized as "other income" from Akba Bank.
As of December 31 of the reporting year, the principal balance of loans and borrowings totaled 33 million 291 thousand drams, with the remaining principal on the apartment mortgage being 33 million 86 thousand drams. Last year, Srbouhi Galyan repaid loans amounting to 39 million 374 thousand drams.
