Pashinyan on the 'Zangezur Corridor', 'Trump's Route', and Meeting with Aliyev
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, expressed satisfaction with his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Copenhagen and overall communications with Baku. He made this statement during a briefing after a government session.
Pashinyan added that peace has been established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and this is a reality that is hard to ignore. According to him, the process of institutionalizing peace is underway.
The Armenian Prime Minister also assured that the issue of the 'Zangezur Corridor' does not exist for him. He recalled that during the meeting with Aliyev in Copenhagen, this issue was discussed, and the outcome was that in the official statements from Yerevan and Baku, 'Trump's Route' was mentioned in the context of unblocking infrastructure and communication routes, rather than any alternative option.
“The topic has been removed due to the lack of objective grounds,” Pashinyan stated.
It is worth noting that Pashinyan and Aliyev have already met three times in October—in Copenhagen, Dushanbe, and Sharm El Sheikh. Their meeting in Copenhagen took place on October 2.
