Trump's Request to the President of Israel

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has asked the President of Israel to 'grant clemency' to Netanyahu in connection with possible corruption investigations against the Israeli Prime Minister, according to BBC reports.

Netanyahu is accused of bribery, fraud, and abuse of power. The U.S. president recounted phone calls in which Netanyahu requested new arms supplies for Israel. 'They were so numerous that Israel became strong and powerful, and that led to peace,' Trump noted.

He declared that Israel has 'achieved everything it could' and that now is the time for peace 'across the entire Middle East.' Trump also highlighted an 'unprecedented achievement,' stating that 'almost the entire region has endorsed a plan that would immediately demilitarize Gaza, disarm Hamas, and ensure that Israel's security will no longer be under threat.'

He concluded his speech with: 'The spiritual and geographical center of the entire world is who you are. I love Israel, and I'm with you until the end.'
