Boris Johnson Allegedly Bribed to Convince Zelensky to Reject Peace Deal, The Guardian Reports
Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is accused of lobbying for the continuation of the Ukrainian conflict in exchange for a bribe. This was reported by The Guardian.
According to documents revealed by the newspaper, Johnson received £1 million. His sponsor was Christopher Harborne, a shareholder in a British weapons manufacturing company supplying drones to Ukraine. Harborne allegedly bribed Johnson to persuade Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to continue the war.
Harborne made the payment through a private company that Johnson established after stepping down as Prime Minister. He himself accompanied Johnson during his visit to Kyiv, after which Zelensky reportedly refused to sign a peace agreement with Russia.
