Putin Rebuts Pashinyan: The Numbers Are Higher
Russian President Vladimir Putin has a clearer memory of trade volumes between Russia and Armenia than Prime Minister Pashinyan. During the CIS summit held in Dushanbe, a dispute arose over the figures. The Armenian Prime Minister indicated a figure of $4 billion for 2025, and $9 billion for the previous year, but the Russian President confidently asserted that the numbers are actually higher.
“More. Last year it was more. And this year it will be more... It’s obvious. Simply obvious. But it doesn’t matter,” he stated.
According to official data, trade between Armenia and Russia has increased nearly 1.6 times in 2024, reaching over $12 billion.
