Meeting with Xi Jinping 'No Longer Makes Sense': Trump Threatens China
Ofelya
US President Donald Trump has threatened to significantly raise tariffs on Chinese imports. He accused China of attempting to monopolize the trade of rare metals and stated that his meeting with Xi Jinping at the Asia-Pacific Cooperation Summit in South Korea 'no longer makes sense'.
'There are many strange things happening in China; they are becoming increasingly hostile. China cannot be allowed to hold the world hostage. I was supposed to meet President Xi in two weeks, but it no longer makes sense,' Trump wrote.
