Venezuela and Russia Sign Partnership Agreement
Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has signed a ten-year strategic partnership and cooperation agreement between Venezuela and the Russian Federation, noting that he does so on the birthday of Russia's leader Vladimir Putin, reports RIA Novosti.
'I am now signing the law ratifying the agreement on strategic partnership and cooperation between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Russian Federation. This law will come into effect as of today as a law of the Republic,' said Maduro.
The agreement on strategic partnership and cooperation between Venezuela and the Russian Federation, which was unanimously ratified by the National Assembly, outlines a roadmap for bilateral cooperation over the next ten years. The agreement formalizes the long-term strategy for cooperation between the two countries in political, economic, scientific, technical, and humanitarian fields.
