Face Grimaces, Ramblings, and the 'Kurajit' No Longer Interest Anyone: Simonyan on Kocharyan
Dear journalists, I have not watched Kocharyan's interview and I do not intend to. I have seen a few cut clips online and one or two quotes in the press. This was noted by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, on his Telegram channel.
“There is no expectation of anything new in terms of content, and aesthetically, it is simply unpleasant to watch or listen to that person. His ‘suty’ laughter, facial grimaces, ramblings, and the ‘kurajit’ are no longer interesting to anyone; he simply has not been told that his mood should not drop. If he has political messages, the way forward has long been shown—he should gather courage and come debate with the uniquely elected leader of the Republic of Armenia. Although I am sure that the one who once declared him the only man in the country is afraid, just as the other unelected ones are. Do not be afraid, you are all political corpses long ago, you have nothing to lose; at least this way, there will be a chance to find out who among you is more of a corpse. So, go for it!”
