Trump Personally Assured Arab Countries That Israel Will Not Go to War Again
As part of his peace proposals, U.S. President Donald Trump has personally assured Arab countries that Israel will not go to war again, reports Financial Times, citing sources.
“Trump has personally guaranteed the Arabs that Israel will not go to war again,” the newspaper quotes a source. This promise has been confirmed by another source familiar with discussions between White House officials and Arab officials, according to Financial Times.
On September 29, U.S. President Donald Trump released a 20-point plan for resolving the situation in Gaza. The proposal calls for an immediate ceasefire, contingent upon the release of hostages within 72 hours. The plan also stipulates that the Palestinian Hamas movement and other groups agree not to participate in the governance of the Gaza Strip, neither directly nor indirectly. Control of the area should be transferred to technocratic authorities overseen by an international body led personally by Trump.
