Tense Situation in France: Defense Minister Resigns
Ofelya
Bruno Le Maire, the former French Minister of Economy and Finance, who was appointed as France's Minister of Defense, has resigned following criticism of his appointment from the opposition. This was reported by TASS.
"I acknowledge that my decision has led to confusing, false, and disproportionate reactions from certain individuals," the minister wrote on X, adding that he accepted the position out of a sense of duty and in service to France.
Earlier, French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu had also announced his resignation, which came just three weeks after taking office.
