Final negotiations between Israel and Hamas have begun in Egypt, according to Bild.
Discussions regarding a ceasefire and the release of Israeli hostages are reportedly being mediated by the United States and Egypt, without direct communication between the parties involved. According to the Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom, 20 living hostages could be handed over within 72 hours after an agreement is reached, while the transfer of the bodies of deceased individuals will take longer.
The U.S. delegation is led by Special Representative Steve Whitcuff, who arrived in Egypt at the request of President Trump.
