Georgian Prime Minister Blames EU Ambassador for Tbilisi Unrest

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, has stated that the EU ambassador bears responsibility for the unrest that occurred in Tbilisi, claiming that EU representatives have supported attempts to destabilize the country. His remarks were quoted by RIA Novosti.

Specifically, he noted that certain foreign individuals, including the EU representative, have provided direct support to the attempts to overthrow the constitutional order. In this regard, the Prime Minister believes that the EU ambassador in Georgia has special responsibility.

“Show goodwill, step out, share, and firmly condemn everything happening on the streets of Tbilisi. This is his direct responsibility, considering that we have seen and heard statements supporting the attempts to overturn the constitutional order. Let's see how they will respond,” Gharibashvili urged.
