Mher Grigoryan Responds to Azerbaijani Prime Minister's Speech
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan participated remotely in the latest session of the heads of governments of the CIS countries. He delivered a speech, welcomed the participants of the session, and thanked the Belarusian side for organizing the meeting.
In his speech, the Armenian Deputy Prime Minister noted that during the first half of this year, trade turnover between Armenia and CIS countries amounted to approximately 4 billion US dollars, indicating a slight decrease compared to the same period last year. In this context, he emphasized the necessity and importance of timely adopting an action plan aimed at strengthening cooperation, modernizing economies, and implementing innovations.
Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister stated that sustainable and comprehensive economic development is impossible without the creation of modern infrastructures and the establishment of effective transportation and communication logistics. “In this regard, I would like to mention that the Republic of Armenia is committed to the agenda of regional connectivity,” he noted, and in response to Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov's speech, he remarked that it is essential to refrain from using the term 'Zangezur Corridor,' adding that in the context of unblocking, it is necessary to use the definition 'Trump's Road for International Peace and Prosperity' in accordance with the high-level documents signed between the countries.
At the end of his speech, Mher Grigoryan expressed the Armenian side's readiness to continue strengthening constructive partnership within the framework of the CIS aimed at the implementation of promising and mutually beneficial projects.
