Ukraine Strikes Chuvashia Oil Refinery

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, during the night, air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 55 Ukrainian drones. Of these, 27 were shot down in the Rostov region, eight in Bryansk, six in Astrakhan and Voronezh, five in Volgograd, two in Kursk, and one in Belgorod.

During the night, Rosaviation closed the airports in Astrakhan and Volgograd, as well as Kazan, for flights. The Russian side also reported that Ukrainian forces struck the Chuvashia oil refinery with a drone. The region's leader, Oleg Nikolaev, stated that the refinery suffered minor damage, its operations have been suspended, and there are no casualties.

In recent months, Ukrainian armed forces’ drones have been regularly attacking Russian oil refineries. These strikes have partially or completely halted operations, leading to fuel shortages and rising prices.
