Baghaei Condemns U.S. Restrictions on Iranian Diplomats
The spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmail Baghaei, has condemned the restrictions imposed by the United States on the movements of the Iranian delegation attending the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
According to him, the real aim of such actions is to "obstruct" Iran's diplomatic activities at the UN. "The systematic pursuit of Iranian diplomats by the United States has hindered the participation of Iranian delegates in several multilateral events held outside the so-called 'permitted parameters' this week," he stated.
The application of such petty restrictions on our diplomats' movements and even their daily grocery shopping is not only a gross violation of the commitments undertaken by the U.S. under the Headquarters Agreement but also a new low in showing the level of animosity of the U.S. administration towards Iranians," the spokesperson wrote on his 'X' page.
