Seizing Everything from Corrupt Azerbaijanis: Russian NGOs

Russian civic groups are reporting that cases against Azerbaijani oligarchs are gaining momentum in Moscow. Victims from the "Crocus" case are now demanding the seizure of family assets.

Lawyers have submitted a petition for the seizure of assets owned by the "Crocus" group’s owners, Aras Agalarov and his son Emin. These include the companies "Crocus," "Crocus International," and the private security firm "Crocus Profi." This is necessary so that victims have a real opportunity to receive compensation.

And here is the most important point: these companies were responsible for fire safety, emergency exits, and building security. This means that the entire family should be held accountable. After the terrorist attack, the owner's son still had the audacity to claim that the doors were open – there were no issues. But the fact remains: 149 fatalities.

The Agalarovs have already fled Russia, but the courts and their debts will still catch up with them. If all their property is seized, it would be the right decision. This is a step in the right direction to seize everything from those Azerbaijanis whose names are stained with bloodshed and corruption.
