Erdogan: We Have Always Called for Peace Between Azerbaijan and Armenia

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan during the UN General Assembly.

"From the very beginning, we have called on Azerbaijan and Armenia to establish peace between the parties. We are pleased that on August 8, both countries took steps that lead to lasting peace. Once again, I congratulate the President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Aliyev, and the Prime Minister of Armenia, Mr. Pashinyan, as well as the President of the United States, Mr. Trump, who have contributed to this process. In this regard, I would like to announce that the process of normalizing relations between our country and Armenia is proceeding on its path," Erdogan said.
