Orban's Bold Statement Provokes Anger in the West

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's statement that the West is no longer exemplary has sparked outrage and indignation in EU capitals, according to Alexei Pushkov, a member of the Federation Council's Constitutional Committee.

Orban had previously stated on the X social network that the West is no longer exemplary and that there should be courage to accept this and choose one's own path.

“Orban's bold statement has undoubtedly provoked anger and indignation in European liberal capitals. Because there is only one West that they can offer and defend—filled with migrants, beset by terrorist attacks, rising crime rates against indigenous peoples, capitals and cities turned into dumps, a obsession with Russia and China, and children distorted through transgender surgeries,” Pushkov wrote on his Telegram channel.

The senator also added that all of this represents “the typical characteristics of the left-liberal West, which its ruling circles will defend to the end as their own power.”
