I’ve Said What I Needed to Say: Julfalakyan Responds to Prime Minister’s Statement
Former MP Arsen Julfalakyan has responded to the Prime Minister's statement.
“I believe many are aware that the World Wrestling Championship is taking place. I congratulate the fans of this ancient sport on the beautiful sporting holiday and Armenia on the occasion of the medals won. I learned that the pathological liar, who has exhausted his welcome in Armenia but still holds the title of Prime Minister, has once again been rambling. When my father and I were winning Olympic and World Championships, he hadn’t even shown up yet, and in the 2018 elections, he and his lackeys were 'tailing' me, asking for help to 'save the homeland.'
“When, from April to September 2020, I was proving with facts how his undersecretary, who was Minister of Sports, was simply destroying sports, education, and science, instead of punishing the criminal, he requested that I turn a blind eye to it and not resign, offering instead to become an ambassador in any, I repeat, any country, or to take the presidency of the National Olympic Committee... Time has shown my answer.
I have no subject to discuss with someone who has turned the surrender of Artsakh into a political movement, who pretends to grieve at the graves of thousands of young people who died because of him, and who cries fake tears in the name of Armenian mothers. He must stand before the court!
And I’ve said what I needed to say, both before and after my resignation from the mandate.
P.S. When after the Paris Games the Olympic Committee asked Levon Julfalakyan to return to lead the wrestling team, he gave a very unique response: If I return, there will be many gold medals, after which I would be forced to participate in state meetings with the Prime Minister. And I do not shake hands with traitors,” wrote Julfalakyan.
