Implementation of Artificial Intelligence Tools in PCA Inspections Discussed

The Head of the State Revenue Committee, Edward Hakobyan, hosted a delegation led by Alexander Ferenc Timan, head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission in Armenia. During the meeting, they discussed various issues including the activation of tax discipline programs, improvement of the risk-based inspection system, the application of artificial intelligence tools, and the ongoing and planned efforts to enhance tax administration.

The discussion also addressed the performance indicators of tax revenues, achievements in the large-scale application of the SRC Digital Intelligence Laboratory, and recent developments in customs administration reforms. This includes the implementation of the 24/7 export regime, the introduction of self-service release for goods, and steps taken towards revising the risk management system.

Hakobyan emphasized the importance of the IMF’s Tax Administration Diagnostic Assessment Tool (TADAT) in assessing the effectiveness of the SRC's tax administration, considering it a significant step in the tax administration reform process. At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed mutual readiness to continue active cooperation and implement the agreements reached, aimed at developing the tax and customs systems of Armenia and enhancing administrative efficiency.
