State Revenue Committee Urges Citizens to Bring Only Their Own Mobile Phones to Armenia

The State Revenue Committee informs that enhanced customs control over the importation of mobile phones continues.

The Committee's Department for Electronic Trade and Air Transport Operations urges citizens arriving in Armenia to bring exclusively the mobile phones they have purchased and own.

At the same time, the Committee calls on citizens to refrain from accepting offers from compatriots to bring mobile phones from airports in other countries and to avoid transferring them to unknown individuals in Armenia. Such actions may cause problems during customs control and could be perceived as concealed entrepreneurial activities, where arriving citizens may be indirectly involved.

The State Revenue Committee reminds that strict control is being implemented at the border by the customs service to prevent the illegal importation of mobile phones for commercial purposes into the Republic of Armenia, thereby deterring any illegal activities by citizens.
