Rubio Confirms US Government Support for Israel

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has confirmed the US government's support for Israel in achieving its objectives in the war against the Hamas terrorist organization. "The people of the Gaza Strip deserve a better future, but that better future cannot begin until Hamas is eliminated," Rubio stated during a joint press conference in Jerusalem with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to the France Presse agency.

Rubio added that the Hamas group "must cease to exist as an armed entity that can threaten the peace and security of the region," assuring that Washington would continue to exert maximum pressure on Iran until that country "changes its course," as reported by Reuters.
