Arab Leaders Reject Displacement of Palestinians

Arab and Islamic leaders have rejected any action aimed at displacing Palestinians from Gaza. This is stated in the draft declaration of the summit held in Doha, which was obtained by RIA Novosti.

"We condemn any attempt by Israel to relocate the Palestinian people from the territories occupied since 1967 under any pretext. We also emphasize the necessity of implementing an Arab-Islamic program for the reconstruction of Gaza, addressing both political and technical aspects. Reconstruction must begin as soon as possible," the statement reads.

Previously, foreign ministers from Arab and Muslim countries had started preparatory meetings. The preparatory meeting, during which foreign ministers were to develop the Doha declaration, was held behind closed doors.
