Arab League Issues Statement: Israel Faces Significant Threat

Israel's aggression against Qatar threatens relations with Arab and Islamic countries and undermines existing agreements. This was stated in a draft final declaration from the summit of the Arab League (AL) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Al Arabiya television reported excerpts from the document.

The draft document notes that Israel's attack on Qatari territory is "considered aggression against all Arab and Islamic states" and "interferes with the chances for peace and coexistence." It is worth mentioning that a meeting of foreign ministers from Arab and Islamic countries was held in Doha, dedicated to the Israeli strike on Hamas's headquarters in the capital of Qatar.

Earlier, the official representative of Qatar's Foreign Ministry, Majid bin Mohammed Al-Ansari, stated that participants will prepare a draft final resolution for the summit of the Arab League and the OIC, which will take place in Doha on September 15.
