Ukrainians' Import of Explosives Part of Coup Preparation, Kobakhidze Says

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has suggested that the importation of explosives by Ukrainian special services into the country might be part of preparations for a coup, according to Novosti-Georgia.

“Regarding the ongoing domestic political events, including the declared 'coup,' you can see that the opposition is absolutely desperate, it is weakened, and this is the main reason. In such moments, any provocation is possible,” Kobakhidze stated.

He emphasized that this issue requires special attention and expressed confidence that it would be addressed appropriately. The State Security Service of Georgia (SSS) earlier reported the arrest of two Ukrainian citizens, who were found to be in possession of 2.4 kg of powerful hexogen explosive material.
