Pressure on Russia Intensifies: Tokyo Government Imposes Export Ban on 9 Organizations
Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, Japan has expanded sanctions against Moscow. The Tokyo government has imposed an export ban on 9 organizations, which include 2 companies from Turkey. The list of banned organizations also includes 6 companies from China and 1 from the United Arab Emirates.
According to a statement from Japan's Ministry of Trade, the decision will take effect from September 19. The ministry noted that this step is aimed at "efforts to maintain international peace."
The Japanese government has stated that the sanctions are coordinated with the G7 countries and emphasized the importance of international solidarity. It has also been highlighted that new sanctions against Russia may be implemented in the near future.
