Garnik Danielyan and Bagrat Galstanyan Have Deceived the People, Says Hovhannisyan

The Republic of Armenia will continue to pursue a balanced policy, maintaining organized relations with all neighbors for the sake of the sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia, its territorial integrity, the inviolability of its borders, and the well-being and peace of our people. This was stated by the Secretary of the Civil Contract faction, Arthur Hovhannisyan, from the podium of the National Assembly, in response to criticisms directed at the government by opposition colleagues.

“What are you talking about, dear people, and, in general, are you still speaking? You are the people who spread all conceivable lies about the text of the peace agreement. The text has been published, and it contains nothing about the lies you propagated,” Hovhannisyan stated, addressing opposition members.

Regarding opposition deputy Garnik Danielyan, he claimed that he, along with Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, has deceived the people. “Come here and tell the people that you were deceiving them. If you were not deceiving them, at least come and say, ‘We were mistaken,’ so that you have the right to speak and the legitimacy to ask questions. Because how can you come for four years, say whatever lies you want, terrorize people—verbally and psychologically—and then come with a saintly face trying to talk about certain truths that have absolutely nothing to do with any truth?” Hovhannisyan declared.

“Due to your own actions, the constant references to the Republic of Artsakh by you have resulted in its dissolution,” he stated, addressing the opposition deputies.
