Four Countries Threaten to Boycott Eurovision If Israel Participates

The Netherlands has become the fourth country to threaten to boycott Eurovision 2026 if Israel is allowed to participate in the international song contest. This was reported by the BBC.
According to the Dutch public broadcaster AvroTros, organizers can no longer justify Israel's participation in the competition given the ongoing humanitarian suffering in Gaza.
The statement from the organizers highlights the significant number of journalists killed in Gaza as a factor in their decision to consider a boycott for the 2026 contest.
Previously, Ireland, Slovenia, and Spain announced their refusal to participate in the contest as a protest against the war unleashed by Israel in Gaza.
