All Tenets of the Sacred Movement Have Proven False: Aleksanyan

Mr. Danielyan, the Church of Voskepar is in Armenia, delineated, this side of the border is ours: everything else is lyrical. Now, how it happened, what happened, what did you mean when you said, 'What happened during this time,' we have stated that the Church of Voskepar will remain on our side, you were saying, 'We are handing over the Church of Voskepar.' This was stated by Vahegn Aleksanyan, a deputy from the 'Civil Contract' faction in the National Assembly, responding to opposition MP Garnik Danielyan's accusations.

'The Church of Voskepar remained on our side, it was not handed over; what you said turned out to be incorrect, and what we said was correct,' emphasized the deputy, to which Danielyan retorted from his seat.

'You are free to believe that it was a result of your struggle. Allow me, using my right, to think that it is not quite like that,' said Aleksanyan, in response to which Danielyan left the National Assembly chamber.

According to the CKP faction MP, the reality is that the Church of Voskepar remained within the delineated borders of Armenia, and all the tenets of the so-called 'Sacred Movement' have proven false. Addressing the opposition member's accusations regarding the change in government policy since 2018, he emphasized that they have confessed their mistakes the most, understood them, and voiced them.

'We ourselves have apologized to our public. We are certainly not you; we are human, we know we are fallible, and we know that these mistakes can have consequences and have had them, unfortunately,' Aleksanyan addressed the opposition MPs.
