Emphasis on Dialogue Between Armenia and Azerbaijan at Autumn Session in Istanbul, Says OSCE PA President

The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will serve as a platform for dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was announced by the President of the OSCE PA, Juan Pons Sampedro.

He emphasized that the OSCE PA is a tool for dialogue and peace, and in this regard, parliamentarians could be part of the resolution process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

"The OSCE PA is not just a platform for observation or monitoring, but also a tool for promoting dialogue and peace. I have had numerous conversations with my colleagues from Azerbaijan and Armenia, and I have always emphasized that we need to look forward. At the autumn session in Istanbul, we will focus on dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan and become the platform for it. We will not miss the opportunity that has emerged following the signing of a joint declaration in Washington and are ready to be a tool for its practical implementation. It may not be this year, but as the process moves into a more positive phase, I am confident that we can work together. In this context, the Istanbul meeting will be of special significance," said Sampedro.
